Normandy
As Brittany is to Cornwall, so Normandy is to Devon, with lush rural landscapes and cream featuring on the menus. The Cherbourg peninsula has great beaches looking towards the Channel islands, while the region is also host to The Bayeux Tapestry, the island monastery of Mont St Michel, and the D-Day landing beaches. Above all, Normandy is French, different, but easy to reach.
