Paris and Loire Valley
Paris is glorious. All the good stuff is packed together in the centre, while all the high-rise apartment blocks are out on the ring road. Definitely the place for romance. If, however, the arrival of children means romance is a distant memory, you may be more interested in a convenient site for DisneyLand Paris and singing It’s a Small World instead of La Vie en Rose. Go to the east of Paris, and you may combine the delights of the city with the vineyards and castles of the Loire Valley, which is much more grown-up itinerary. Chateaux and Son et Lumiere are the entertainment here.
